The homeowner took advantage of the measures that have a significant impact on reducing their heating costs for their home. The combined Attic Insulation and External Wall Insulation has resulted in heating cost savings of up to 80%. Earthwool was used to insulate the homeowner's attic with a depth of 180mm. The homeowner can ensure that there is no heat loss through their ceiling. A successful post BER Rating of B1 was achieved for this home.

"Everyone in CDM Contracts were true gentlemen and so professional. They carried out major refurbishment works on our Dad's house and were excellent at providing us with information with the names of each worker who was going to call and a date and time of the appointment. This really suited us as my Dad was nearly 92 years old and very hard of hearing and we were concerned about him opening the door to strangers. All the workers were so respectful, friendly and carried out the works to absolute perfection. There was only one worker who did not clean up after himself and when we phoned CDM, they had someone out momentarily to rectify the situation. They were always on hand to answer any query we had. My Dad had external insulation fitted, which has made a huge difference in keeping the house so warm in the winter and cool in the summer. A new heating system was installed which included boiler, radiators and an easy to operate timer and boy is this system efficient! A new porch door was fitted, ventilation installed and an air tightness test was carried out. To top it all we were supplied with a BER Certificate which has certified the house with a cosy C1 rating. I personally cannot say enough about Darren, Frankie and all the lads.
