External Insulation is a very successful and efficient way of retaining heat. It is comprised by a layer of expanded polystyrene which is mechanically fixed with fixings to the wall. A fiber mesh is embedded onto the insulation before being covered with two base coats of plaster. One final decorative coat is then applied.
External wall insulation has a durable finish to withstand the weather and ensures the exterior of the property is waterproof. There is a range of different colours available to suit the needs of everyone. These are textured, painted acrylic and pebble-dashed, the pebble dash finish remains very popular among clients. External wall Insulation keeps the house cool in the summer and of course retains the heat in the winter.
We access the condition on all walls prior to the installation of external wall insulation, to ensure there are no cracks or imperfections in the structure of the wall. At the time of the survey, we agree to a colour and finish that the customer is happy with. We explain the scale of the work and estimate how long we expect work to commence.
It is difficult to estimate a cost as each house varies and different scenarios can happen. However, we do give a free consultation and grant advice. For more information call us on 048 6638 6210 or visit www.seai.ie
